Dr. Mario Pascalev, expert consultant on privacy and member of The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), published the article "Privacy exchanges: restoring consent in privacy self-management", containing a proposal to improve online privacy, in the journal Ethics and Information Technology.

D-r Assya Pascalev, Director of BCB, presented the keynote report "Trafficking of Human Beings for the Purpose of Organ Removal" at the National Roundtable "Current Forms and Trends in the Traffic in Human Beings", organized by the National Commission for Combating Traffic in Human Beings on October 14, 2016. The forum was opened by Mme Meglena Kuneva, Deputy Prime Minister for European Policies Coordination and Institutional Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria and Chairwoman of NCCTHB. It included representatives of the leading governmental and non-governmental organizations working on combating human trafficking.

Two BCB reports on the issue of human trafficking for organ transplantation, co-authored with leading international experts on the topic, are published in a special issue of the journal Transplantation Direct and are now available online:

Dr. Assya Pascalev and Dr. Mario Pascalev of the Bulgarian Center for Bioethics and Dr. James Giordano of the Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics at Georgetown University published a new article in the journal Neuroethics entitled "Head Transplants, Personal Identity and Neuroethics." As of October 2018, the article had 700 downloads on Research Gate and was quoted 12 times in scientific publications. Dr. A. Pascalev was interviewed on the subject for the article "The Audacious Plan to Save This Man’s Life by Transplanting His Head" in The Atlantic.
